Anja Giele

Anja was born in Taiwan and grew up across seven cities on three continents.

Ever since, she's been fascinated by the idea of belonging. Or not belonging. Both tend to find their way into her work.

With a talent for precise casting, subtle comedy and production design details that most people would never notice (but would definitely miss), Anja creates films that feel both meticulously crafted and deeply human.

The industry seems to like them too. Her work has picked up recognition from Ciclope, YDA, German Commercial Awards, New York Festivals, the list goes on.

She's currently finishing her studies in commercial directing at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
